Licensure
Teaching in Iroquois and Kankakee County
I-KAN's office monitors teacher and administrator licenses for approximately 2,100 educators in Iroquois and Kankakee counties. The office also helps individuals with substitute teaching, short-term substitute teaching and paraprofessional licenses.
The Illinois State Board of Education requires all licensure transactions be completed online in ELIS including all applications for licenses, registration and renewal of licenses.
