Illinois Center for School Improvment

The Illinois Center for School Improvment and the Statewide System of Support (SSoS)

The Illinois Center for School Improvement (Illinois CSI) is operated by the American Institutes for Research (AIR) in partnership with the Illinois State Board of Education. Illinois CSI will provide high-quality, coordinated, and consistent support to the current Statewide System of Support in partnership with Regional Offices of Education and Intermediate Service Centers to ensure that school districts and schools receive expert, timely, and relevant assistance to increase district-level capacity to improve student performance.

The vision for the Illinois CSI is “high performing districts and high achieving students.” The Associate Director for District Resources, Ardella Perry-Osler, is housed in the I-KAN Regional Office of Education and works in partnership with other regional offices to employ coaches to assist districts in Area IV (see map).
